BTOC required a high-precision automation solution to support stable mass production of optical lens assemblies used in AR/VR headsets. The manufacturing process demanded strict control of lens stacking accuracy, thickness consistency, optical alignment, and component placement, with minimal tolerance for process variation.
Large-Auto / Largeautotech delivered a precision-oriented automation solution, focusing on four critical equipment modules: lens bonding, thickness inspection, alignment, and automated mounting. Each system was designed to operate independently or as part of an integrated production workflow.
The lens bonding equipment is designed for automated stacking and bonding of optical lenses used in AR/VR applications.
Technical Characteristics:
Engineering Value:
Ensures consistent lens stacking quality and repeatability while reducing manual handling and process variability.
This system performs non-contact thickness measurement for optical lenses during production.
Technical Characteristics:
Engineering Value:
Provides early detection of thickness deviation, supporting yield improvement and process optimization.
The precision alignment system is used for active alignment of optical components within AR/VR lens assemblies.
Technical Characteristics:
Engineering Value:
Achieves stable micron-level alignment accuracy and repeatability across different product models.
The automated mounting system handles accurate placement of optical lenses and related components.
Technical Characteristics:
Engineering Value:
Improves placement accuracy and consistency while reducing operator dependency.
All equipment modules can operate as standalone systems or be integrated into a unified automation line. Centralized PLC and HMI control enables recipe-based changeover, while the system architecture supports future expansion and MES data connectivity. Mechanical and electrical design meets cleanroom compatibility requirements.
This project demonstrates Large-Auto’s capability to deliver precision-driven automation equipment for AR/VR optical manufacturing. By focusing on lens bonding, thickness inspection, alignment, and mounting, the solution provides a reliable foundation for high-quality optical assembly and scalable production.
